ECONOMICS 1 focuses on the principles, concepts and basic theories related to the microeconomics problems and issues as well as the applicable method to allocate scarce resources. It also includes the consideration on how the individuals and firms in the economy make decisions and coordinate consumptions and productions. Beside it also emphasizes on the demand and supply theory, elasticity as well as market equilibrium. This course also introduces the theory of production and cost, and models of market structure to determine the efficiency in a market.
